Clinical relevance
Serotyping is used for surveillance in connection with H. influenzae type b vaccination (Hib) of children.
Background
H. influenzae antiserum from SSI Diagnostica is designed for in vitro diagnostic testing in clinical microbiological laboratories and reference laboratories.
The antiserum is polyclonal and produced by immunising rabbits with a well-defined reference strain.
Quality
SSI Diagnostica's antisera are high-quality, CE-marked and produced in accordance with DS/EN ISO 13485. The shelf life is 4 years from the date of production, and minimum 2 years from date of shipment.

Serotyping: H. influenzae strains that cannot be serotyped using our antiserum can be sent to SSI Diagnostica, Herredsvejen 2, DK-3400 Hillerød, Denmark, for further investigation.
