Clinical relevance
Yersinia enterocolitica causes food-borne disease in humans. Yersiniosis is a common cause of gastric infection, and serotyping of the bacteria is therefore important in relation to diagnosis, monitoring and testing of food products.
Background
Y. enterocolitica antiserum from SSI Diagnostica is intended for in vitro diagnostic testing in clinical microbiological laboratories and reference laboratories.
The antiserum is polyclonal and produced by immunising rabbits with a well-defined reference strain. Any cross-reactions are eliminated by absorption.
Quality
SSI Diagnostica's antisera are high quality, CE-marked and produced in accordance with DS/EN ISO 13485. The shelf life of Y. enterocolitica antisera is 2 years from date of production and minimum 1 year from date of shipment. 0.09% sodium azide is added to the sera as preservative.
